MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The Milwaukee County Zoo will host a Zumba Fitness Party on Saturday, Nov. 4, offering people the chance to participate in high-energy dance routines led by licensed instructors. it works up a sweat, but it also serves as a fundraiser for the zoo’s “Sponsor an Animal” program.
Participants can join a two-hour Zumba session led by Zumba Jammer Rachel Beimel and other licensed instructors starting at 5 p.m. Check-in at the Peck Welcome Center begins at 16:00.
The Zoological Society, which organizes the event, said in a press release on Thursday, October 26, that Zumba’s well-known benefits, such as reducing stress and strengthening the heart, combine with the advantage of supporting the zoo’s mission.
