According to Renaud Lavoie, some teams are still hoping Cayden Primeau will waive waivers to claim him.
In its own segment Checking On Tuesday’s JiC show, the tipster explained that the Canadian player would face certain danger if the goalkeeper’s name was placed on waivers.
“A lot of teams are looking at this situation and saying to themselves: If Cayden Primeau continues to get waived, it will be time for us to pick him up.”
Lavoie mentions three teams in passing: Ducks, Blues and Devils.
These three teams rely on promising young goalkeepers who currently play supporting roles.
“These teams are asking themselves: ‘Would it be better to send this young man to two or three games a week? [dans la LAH] or just one here [dans la LNH] ?»
