NEW DELHI: Giving Delhiites more reasons to stay fit, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) plans to develop ‘skill development zones’ in neighborhood parks to promote physical fitness and provide special training to youth who want to pursue sports as a career.

The sites are located in Vasant Vatika, opposite LSR College, Swarn Jayanti Park, Sector-10 Rohini, Gulabi Bagh Shastri Park, Paschim Vihar, Sector-6 Dwarka and Janakpuri Regional Park. DDA will allocate approximately 2 acres in each of the above parks for development of facilities.
Sports activities suggested to be created in these skill development areas include rope course, rock climbing, wall rappelling, multi-activity tower, burma bridge, sky coaster, commando obstacle course, slingshot, archery, air rifle shooting, paintball, bungee jumping. , scad diving system, zip line and free fall.
