Since 2019, two Basic Fit rooms have been installed in the Pont-à-Mousson basin. In addition, PAM Fitness has been in existence since 2015. A craze for various reasons
One of the reasons is medical. Doctors are starting to explain that exercise is a drug-free solution to some problems, and this is encouraging people to come to the gym. On the other hand, some registrants appear to lack these basic motivations. “Going to the gym is perhaps a fashion influence,” says Gisèle Santucci.
The increase is also felt in Basic Fit. Members also come to the gym for home health reasons. “Being active is crucial, especially in combating a sedentary lifestyle, the risks associated with chronic or cardiovascular diseases, obesity, stress and even diabetes,” says Basic fit. Fitness centers have become family friendly. “They are recognized by members as social places,” the franchise explains.

On the contrary, it’s not just men who go to the gym. More and more women are signing up for chambers, although some resist. “People come not to watch others, but to do sports, this is a myth,” says Gisèle Santucci. A discussion is also initiated with more uncertain customers. “In this debate we want to show them that we are who we are. Even we coaches are simple and approachable people like everyone else. »
In France, some rooms create areas for women only. They try to reach this customer even if theaters in the area don’t offer it. “The equipment and weight range are also suitable for women,” says Basic Fit.
