Aster Hospitals, Clinics and Pharmacies are proud to announce their continued support as the official Healthcare Partner for the highly anticipated seventh edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC). This collaboration marks the fourth year in a row that Aster DM Healthcare has joined forces with DFC to encourage the community to adopt a healthier, more active lifestyle by exercising for 30 minutes over 30 days.
In support of the vision of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, to transform Dubai into one of the world’s most active cities, the month-long initiative will also see Aster. Employees participate in various activities within the scope of the Aster Wellbeing Initiative, which currently operates in seven countries.
Speaking about the ongoing partnership, Ms. Alisha Moopen, Deputy General Manager, Aster DM Healthcare, said: “At Aster, we have always believed that good health and a healthy lifestyle are the cornerstone of happiness and progress for people and society. As an organization, our efforts have always been directed towards ensuring the health and well-being of society and our own Asterians in all seven countries in which we operate. Over the years, the Dubai Fitness Challenge has emerged as an annual initiative that transforms residents’ lives for 30 days and sparks a fitness and wellness journey for most residents. “It has been a privilege for us to stand alongside Sheikh Hamdan’s vision of making the lives of Dubai residents healthier and happier.”
As the official Healthcare Partner, Aster is committed to improving the health and well-being of Dubai residents and visitors by helping them achieve their DFC 30×30 goals.
To make this journey easier, Aster has set up a special booth at the 30-day DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village, offering a range of activities including fitness sessions and interactive games. It will also serve as a platform to introduce a range of wellness products and packages, and there will also be a live demo of Aster’s digital health app, myAster.
Additionally, Aster Hospitals and Clinics will offer affordable health check-ups, beauty and skin care packages, while Aster Pharmacy will showcase its latest range of wellness products. There will also be exciting gift baskets and chances to win prizes at the stand. The Aster Volunteers Mobile Health Services unit will be located outside the DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village area on weekends.
This year, Aster employees in the UAE, led by the Group Leadership team, will strongly participate in DFC as part of the group-wide Aster Wellbeing Initiative. With challenges such as Walking to Win, Healing Connections (focusing on mental health and wellbeing) and workshops on stress management, among many other initiatives, the organization is committed to supporting health and wellbeing among its employees.
