In response to this imperative need for MSMEs to succeed in the global market, the Philippine Trade Training Center – Global MSME Academy is set to organize the Financial Suitability Expo 2023 in collaboration with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Proxtera.
This hybrid event, scheduled to be held on 24-25 October 2023, aims to create a nurturing environment that equips MSMEs with the vital knowledge, resources and opportunities required to take their businesses to new heights and compete on a global scale. Hundreds of online and on-site participants are scheduled to attend for the event to be staged at PTTC-GMEA in Pasay City.

SME Financial Empowerment (SFE) Programme: Participants will receive free access to Green Finance courses as well as core and global literacy courses through the SME Financial Empowerment (SFE) platform.
Global Financial Services: MSMEs will have the opportunity to access global financial services and receive valuable assistance.
Business Clinics: The event will provide practical guidance and support to address specific challenges and concerns of MSMEs.
Opportunities in the Singapore Market: Participants will gain insights and ways to explore and enter the dynamic Singapore market.
The SME Financial Empowerment (SFE) Programme, in partnership with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), aims to develop basic digital literacy and a deep understanding of cross-border relationships. Financial services that are vital to the success of SMEs in the digital economy. Launched in the Philippines on August 12, 2022, with the unwavering support of local businesses and the fintech community, the program proudly boasts key partnerships with Globe Group, Esquire Financing, and UNOBank.
The program covers several vital courses:
Basic Financial Literacy: Equipping students with basic financial concepts, financial discipline, and introductory financial service options.
Global Financial Literacy Course: Provides guidance on expanding businesses into new markets, adopting innovative digital financing options and leveraging digital networks.
Green Finance Course: Focusing on the impact and benefits of green finance on businesses, as well as practical tools to initiate green finance practices.
