Taking a vacation in the rain doesn’t automatically mean spending time in front of a screen. This was proven by 60 children taking a futsal test at Lemouton gym on Wednesday 25 October. The event, which is free and open to non-Chaumontais residents, is part of the City’s “Holiday Sports” system.
“Holiday Sports” system until November 2 City It invites children between the ages of 7 and 15 to try team and combat sports, gymnastics and horse riding. “It feels good to get outside and gives us a good activity,” says Gaspard, who came to try futsal. Next to him, his little brother Eliott adds: “Leaving the screens helps! »
“We were taught to play well in the spirit of fair play. I didn’t know if I would play football, but now I know! Maybe next year I will enroll…”
On Wednesday, October 25, futsal brought together 61 kids at the Lemouton gym. 23 young athletes participated in handball the other day. 31 young people tested basketball on Monday. Enough to make many new friends, as happened to five boys from different Chaumontais schools and colleges having fun together while waiting for their next match.
“I’m having a wonderful afternoon!” I saw friends I already knew and made new ones,” enthuses Paul, a university student in La Rochotte. Adds Dawson, a student at the Lafayette school: “We also changed teams twice. We make new friends every time.
Among the men, Camille is also pleased with his introduction to futsal. “I do taekwondo, but I love learning new sports. We were taught to play well in the spirit of fair play. I didn’t know if I liked football or not, but now I know! Maybe I’ll register next year…”
