To reduce the weight of the device by several notches, Huawei engineers had to get rid of many features that full-size smartwatches are accustomed to. No NFC, no GPS, no ambient light sensor, no speakers or microphone; the watch displays information about incoming calls, but that’s all. This means that without a paired phone the Band 8 becomes a bit useless, which is unfortunately normal for this category of device.
Huawei Band 8 can measure stress level, blood oxygen, heart rate and sleep quality. And he’s pretty good at all of those things. The belt is easy to replace without tools; 1.47 inch OLED screen is quite bright, about 390 cd/m2.
To use the watch, you must first install the Huawei Health application. We’ll come back to this in a full test of the Band 8.. The product is not exclusive to Android phone owners, as Huawei also offers an iOS app.
The smartwatch is available in black, green or pink. Although it is compatible with Strava and Runtastic, there is no compatibility with Google Fit and it is unlikely to be implemented in the near future. Another disappointing thing worth mentioning was that the touchscreen didn’t really work perfectly in our tests; Instead of opening a program, sometimes a tap would cause an unintentional scroll.

This Huawei product is compatible with iOS and Android phones. As we mentioned above, downloading the Huawei Health app is a little more complicated than opening the Play Store and searching for the app name, but it’s nothing too complicated for most users.
If NFC doesn’t work, GPS is supported, which means the Watch Fit SE can be used outdoors without needing to have the paired phone in your pocket at all times. The watch is waterproof and compatible with many activities. The 1.64-inch OLED screen is not very bright (about 290 cd/m2 ), but this can easily be forgiven considering the reasonable price of the product. Like the Band 8, the Watch Fit SE doesn’t come with a speaker or microphone.

Amazfit Band 7 is available in black or beige. It has a fairly bright (up to 380) 1.47-inch OLED display. cd/m2) and is a bit lacking in terms of features like its rivals. No GPS or NFC; There’s no speaker either, but at least there’s a built-in microphone.
