Q My employer, a bank, recently reintroduced bonuses after the Government lifted its ban on bank bonuses. A colleague of mine who works in the same job as me received a bonus of €20,000. However, I only received a bonus of €10,000. Bonuses were given to a project on which we both worked equally. When I asked why I received such a low bonus, I was told it was because my colleague was much older than me. This doesn’t seem fair. Don’t I have the right to benefit from the same bonus?
