WSN Developpement wants to add a design touch to the upcoming Paris Women’s Fashion Week events. The organizer of the Première Classe show, held every season in the Tuileries gardens in the heart of the capital, will devote an area to design for the first time.

“Fashion and luxury brands took Milan by storm during design week. For the first time, a meeting will offer the chance to bribe design during Fashion Week,” smiles Matthieu Pinet, who joined the trade fairs organizer last year to drive the international underwear trade fair and currently Who is developing the new project? The new meeting, called Matter & Shape, aims to respond to a fundamental trend in the industry where fashion and design come together. “We are seeing these links between fashion and design strengthening. More and more brands are developing a lifestyle proposition. Multiple brands are being driven to integrate the decoration offer with ceramics, candles or home textiles.” Matthieu Pinet, who founded a Matter & Shape site five years ago with the theme of Fashion and Design connection, enlisted the services of creative director Dan Thawley, former editor-in-chief of Curated By magazine, to support him in this project. but also from the Milanese consultancy agency specializing in the P:S sector.
Concretely, the goal of this new event, which will occupy half of a large tent in parallel with the Première Classe, is to host approximately 45 participants between 1 and 4 March 2024. Among these, the organization aims to give a proud place to brands and brands that develop lifestyle propositions, as well as young creators and major publishers in the industry, who should represent the heart of the offer. For this purpose, stands of 6, 12, 24 and 48 square meters were designed. Dedicated mostly to professionals, with a strong connection to fashion and offering an offer that can be marketed by a multitude of brands, the fashion show can devote half a day to opening it to the general public.
Matter & Shape aims to offer international visitors an exploration during Paris Fashion Week and thus strengthen the appeal of the Tuileries. Matthieu Pinet explains: “We want to present a very international offer that reflects design inspirations from different continents. For us, Fashion Week is definitely the best opportunity to test this concept. Then it will be time to think about replicating it in other markets.” or at other times.”

This period also allows WSN to develop an offering in a niche that has been historically occupied for 30 years by the giant Maison & Objet, which announced more than 1,800 exhibitors in its January 2024 edition, nearly 300 of whom are fashion-related.
