The continuation of the Paris fashion shows dedicated to 2024 spring-summer women’s ready-to-wear; with the houses of Loewe, Hermès and Carven, each in its own way, where elegance is based on reality.
The invitation was a golden plaque answered by bronze sculptures by artist Lynda Benglis inside a cube installed at the Château de Vincennes on Friday, September 29. So we were expecting ostentatiously classy entertainment, as the wit of Irishman Jonathan Anderson has not gone unnoticed by anyone. But talented art director Loewe (and its own brand) did better. In this visual magma called Fashion Week, it is a design that is very useful and beautiful enough to leave a permanent mark on the retina.
It’s all about the precision of the choice of proportions and the beauty of the materials. Options: stretched legs with empire waist trousers, a compact chest, especially blazers with four pockets, two of which are under the chest where the models’ hands are located. And it completely changes the look. The verticality alternates with the roundness of the short sweaters, again with chunky knits, chunky heathered knits, and rounded capes. The horizontality is marked by oversized needles that dart through some tops and Bermuda shorts. This play with geometries is also seen on the feet: pointed mules, ballerinas, round slippers, slippers. It is possible to send wood, the top of which is carved with stars. You can also have fun with your coat, which you can fold over your soft bag.
