Charlize Theron, Kelly Rowland and More At THR’s Beauty Dinner – WWD

The Hollywood Reporter hosted a beauty dinner in Los Angeles on Wednesday, attended by celebrities from Charlize Theron to Kelly Rowland.

The evening coincided with The Hollywood Reporter’s 2023 Beauty Issue, which also premiered Wednesday. The dinner honored the glitzy ensembles of some of Hollywood’s biggest names.

Even though the event was beauty-focused, celebs jumped at the opportunity to put on a standout event look. WWD takes a closer look at some of the standout looks from Wednesday’s dinner.

Janelle Monae

Janelle Monáe wore a red minidress with a sweetheart neckline and taffeta ruffle sleeve accents by Greta Constantine with matching red lips. She completed her all-red look with red heels and a red clutch bag. Her hairstylist, Nikki Nelms, also attended the event.

Ashley Park

Ashley Park wore a chocolate brown sequined dress with hoop detail connecting the bodice and skirt. She completed her look with metallic gold pointed-toe block-heeled sandals. Her hairstylist Clayton Hawkins and makeup artist Jenna Nicole also attended the event.

Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron sported an all-black ensemble with an edgy twist. Theron wore a shirt with transparent details on the sides and sleeves, combined with a black tie and a long leather skirt. She completed her look with gray socks and pointed, ankle-strap heels. Her hairdresser Adir Abergel also attended the event.

Jurnee Smollett

Jurnee Smollett kept it classic in her little black dress for the beauty dinner. Her mini dress featured a crystal-embellished balloon skirt and she paired it with black platform ankle strap heels. Make-up artist Vincent Oquendo also accompanied the event.

Kathryn Newton wore a long bell-sleeved Merlot hand-embroidered sequined stretch jersey keyhole dress from the Michael Kors Collection. She completed her look with red boots and a red chain strap bag. The actress’ hairdresser Renato Campora also accompanied the event.

Kelly Rowland

Kelly Rowland presented an all-black ensemble consisting of a black cutout dress with striped cutout detail on the side. She completed her look with a black hijab. The singer and the actor’s make-up artist Sheika Daley also accompanied the event. Daley adorned Rowland’s face with a full Lancôme look, including wingtip eyeliner.

Logan Browning

Logan Browning delivered a purple lace minidress with an asymmetrical, off-the-shoulder neckline. She completed her look with black ankle strap heels. Browning’s makeup artist, Tasha Reiko Brown, also accompanied the event.
